Bourne Historical Society Dinner Theater Presents
A Revolution of Her Own!
The Story of the American Heroine Deborah Sampson
PLEASE NOTE: The Dinner Theater event originally scheduled for Saturday 9/23 has been postponed. This performance will now be held during our annual Harvest Dinner on NOVEMBER 11, 2017 at the Bourne United Methodist Church. Doors open at 5:15.
Deborah Sampson Gannett was a local woman, who disguised herself as a man in order to serve in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. This dinner theater event will bring Sampson back to tell her incredible story. Deborah Samson was the first woman to enlist, to fight, and to be honorably discharged from the American Military. Experience Mrs. Deborah Samson Gannett’s arduous upbringing, one and a half years of active combat, and success as the first female professional soldier, through interactive stories and authentic colonial attire. Deborah’s passion will take you back in time!
