Whaling in Massachusetts: Book Release Party

Come celebrate the release of Gioia Dimock's new book, Whaling in Massachusetts on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6pm at the Jonathan Bourne Historical Center, 30 Keene Street in Bourne Village.
Whaling in Massachusetts uses a selection of historic photographs to tell the story of the whaling tradition in Massachusetts. Come meet the author and get a first look at this exciting local book! Gioia Dimock is a local author, historian and Trustee of the Bourne Historical Society who previously authored the book Bourne, published by Arcadia Press in 2014. Books will be available to purchase on the night of the event. This event will be the first time Whaling in Massachusetts will be available for purchase anywhere.
This event is free and open to the public.

Bourne Historical Society Aptucxet Museum Complex is open Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend.
- Open Wednesday through Sunday
- Hours: 10am to 4pm
- Closed Monday and Tuesday

The Bourne Historical Society, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization. The charge for admission to the Aptucxet Museum Complex:

Special rates are available for students and pre-arranged group tours 508-759-8167. We have a turnaround for buses to drop visitors off at the Trading Post, with a parking area near the Trading Post Gift Shop.
